Apple Tree (Fruiting)

Apple trees are currently out of stock.  If you are looking for a pollinator for an existing tree, keep in mind that crabapples pollinate for most apples.

When available, we usually carry the following varieties:

Cortland

  • 12-15’ tall, semi-dwarf
  • Ripens late-September; blooms mid-season
  • Bright red, medium-sized apple bred from McIntosh
  • Crisp, slightly tart, excellent all-purpose fruit

McIntosh

  • 12-15’ tall, semi-dwarf
  • Blooms mid-season and is self-fertile
  • Medium-sized, bright red and green mottled fruit
  • Thin and tender skin, good for fresh eating or cooking

Red Delicious

  • 12-15’ tall, semi-dwarf
  • Ripens mid-season; blooms mid-season
  • Fruit is juicy with sweet flesh
  • Tree grows vigorously and is resistant to fireblight and cedar rust
For more information on apple trees, including proper pollinating, see our page on Maintaining Fruit Trees.
