The arborvitae is a fantastic evergreen tree that is as spectacular as a specimen plant as it is a privacy screen, hedge or windbreak.  Most arborvitae can be identified by their tall, slender, conical appearance.  Similar to juniper in foliage appearance, these evergreens are soft to the touch.

We generally carry at least a couple varieties of arborvitae.  Because mature trees are extremely expensive, we carry younger, smaller trees, usually between 3-5' in height.  Arborvitae are notoriously slow-growing, so while they will reach impressive heights upon maturity (anywhere from 18-50' depending on the variety), it will take them a lifetime to get there, making it possible to gently prune them and keep them dwarf in stature.

From time to time we are able to bring in new and/or interesting cultivars, such as Mr. Bowling Ball, which stays a perfectly round sphere 2-3' in height and width, or Green Giant, which is much faster-growing and looser in habit, and will tower over other varieties.
