Beautyberry (Callicarpa)

Early Amethyst Beautyberry (dichotoma)

  • 5-6’ tall x 6-7’ wide
  • Versatile plant grows well in full sun to part shade
  • Season-long visual interest begins with bronze colored new foliage in the spring that matures to a lush, deep green; small, soft pink flowers bloom in late June, followed by masses of small berries that start green and change to electric purple in late August.
  • Nice yellow fall foliage sets off the purple, bird attracting berries.
