Beebalm (Monarda) 
Beebalm is one of those super hardy, long-blooming plants that gives your garden some real bang for the buck.  Available in a number of varieties, choose the size and color that suits you best: anywhere from 12-48" tall and 12-48" wide, and in shades of hot pink, coral, red and purple.

Bloom times can vary slightly, but most varieties start their show in June or July and go right into the fall.  Its foliage is very distinctive and fragrant, making beebalm a feature attraction.

Beebalm is also considered a good companion plant for tomatoes, improving both plant health and fruit flavor - a real added bonus!

Sun exposure: full to partial sun

Characteristics: butterfly and hummingbird attractant, deer resistant, lends itself to cut flowers
