Columbine (Aquilegia)

This compact, hardy perennial has eye-catching, exotic flowers. 

Flabellata varieties are shorter (5-7”), bloom from spring to early summer, and come in both single color and double color blooms.

Hybrida varieties range from 18-36”, bloom either in the summer or in spring to early summer, and come in both single color and double color blooms.

Origami varieties are 14-16” tall, bloom from May to June, and come in both single color and double color blooms. 

Sun exposure: Full sun

Characteristics: butterfly & hummingbird attractant, deer resistant, lends itself to cut flowers.
