Columbine (Aquilegia)

This compact, hardy perennial has eye-catching, exotic-looking flowers.  Depending on the variety, Columbine will grow as low as 5-7" or as high as 18-36".  Most varieties bloom from spring to early or mid-summer and can be found with single style (top photo) or double style (bottom photo) flowers. 

Sun exposure: Full sun

Characteristics: butterfly & hummingbird attractant, deer resistant, lends itself to cut flowers.
