Dianthus (Pinks)

This hardy, loose mat-forming perennial has narrow, grass-like leaves.  Use as a groundcover or specimen plant.  Large flowers cover the plant for 8-10 weeks in the summer, although exact bloom time varies by selection.

Varieties range in height from 6-18" and bloom in shades of white, red, pink and purple.  Some selections have bluish or silvery foliage.

Sun exposure: full sun

Characteristics: butterfly & hummingbird attractant, deer resistant, lends itself to cut flowers
