FRUIT TREES

Apple, Cortland
- this tree is a semi-dwarf that will grow to 12-15' in height.  Cortlands bloom mid-season and ripen late-season, with bright red, medium-sized apples bred from MacIntosh.  The fruit is all purpose and slightly tart.

Apple, MacIntosh - also semi-dwarf, MacIntosh trees will grow to 12-15'.  This self-fertile variety does not require a pollinator, although it will do better with another tree of similar bloom time in close proximity.  This mid-season bloomer will bear mottled red and green fruit with thin and tender skin.  The fruit is good for fresh eating or cooking.

Apple, Red Delicious - another semi-dwarf with a mature height of 12-15', the Red Delicious tree blooms and ripens mid-season.  A vigorous grower, it is resistant to fireblight and cedar rust.  The fruit is juicy with sweet flesh.

Cherry, Bing - this vigorous, semi-dwarf tree is the most widely grown sweet cherry.  Its large, dark red fruit is firm with meaty, purple, freestone flesh.  Pollinate this tree with Black Tartarian or Stella.  It does not pollinate with Lambert.

Cherry, Black Tartarian - another vigorous, semi-dwarf tree, the Black Tartarian is a heavy bearer of large, bright purplish-black fruit that is tender, juicy and rich.  Pollinate this variety with any sweet cherry.

Cherry, North Star - this hardy dwarf tree will only grow to 6-9' in height, but it produces heavy crops of tart, bright red fruit with a small stone.  It is disease-resistant and self-pollinating with fruit that is excellent for pies and preserves.

Cherry, Stella - this semi-dwarf sweet cherry tree yields large, heart-shaped, dark red fruit that is sweet and rich.  Stella can be pollinated by all other sweet cherry varieties.

Peach, Elberta - this semi-dwarf spreading tree produces large, firm peaches that ripen in late August.  Freestone fruit is golden yellow blushed with red.  This variety is self-fertile and resistant to brown rot.

Peach, Reliance - this tree produces extremely hardy fruit that ripens in mid to late August with greenish yellow coloring and a slight blush of red.  The flesh is bright yellow, soft and juicy, great for fresh eating.  It is freestone and self-fertile.

Pear, Bartlett - semi-dwarf, vigorous and productive, the Bartlett variety bears fruit at a young age.  Pears are golden-yellow, buttery, juicy and highly flavored.

Pear, Bosc -  semi-dwarf, vigorous and productive like the Bartlett, the Bosc bears fruit with tender flesh and a smooth texture, perfect for fresh eating, canning and preserves.  The exceptional crop of large, russeted fruit matures in early October.

Plum, Santa Rosa - this semi-dwarf Japanese variety is vigorous, fast-growing and prolific in fruit production.  The fruit ripens in mid August and has thin, purple-red skin and sweet-tart flesh that is good for fresh eating and canning.

Plum, Shiro - another semi-dwarf Japanese varitety, the Shiro is hardy and productive.  The tree ripens in mid July and bears loads of medium-sized, juicy, dark yellow fruit that is perfect for eating right off the branch.

BUSHES & VINES

Blueberry, Brunswick Lowbush
- growing 8-12' tall and 2-3' wide, this vigorous selection produces an abundance of pea-sized, dark blue berries in mid-summer.  Brunswick is great for mass plantings and reclamations of rough, sandy soils.  It also puts on a nice fall show with scarlet-tinged burgundy foliage and colored branches.

Blueberry, Bluejay Highbush - at 5-7' tall and wide, this manageable bush is robust and rounded, easy-to-grow and tolerant of poor soil and partial shade.  It yields an impressive crop of deep blue, sizable berries in August and its deep green foliage puts on a purplish-red fall show.  The fruit is a magnet for wildlife and the foliage provides outstanding cover for small animals.

Blueberry, Patriot Highbush - a smaller bush at 4' tall and wide, Patriot provides massive early season yields and a dense, rounded, compact form.  Its lustrous, deep green foliage will turn a fiery orange-red color in the fall.

Grape, Concord - vigorous and fruitful, this old, dependable variety still packs a punch with a multitude of medium to large clusters of big, sweet grapes.  The fruit is perfect for fresh eating or for jellies and preserves.

Grape, Reliance - a superb red seedless selection, Reliance features a mid-season crop of sweet flavored, medium to large clusters of fruit.  It is vigorous and relatively disease resistant.

Raspberry, Heritage - a red raspberry with flavorful fruit, producing one crop in mid July and another in early September.  Flesh stays firm even when over-ripe.

Raspberry, Jaclyn - this improved variety will knock you out with its great size and firmness, its distinct dark red color, its crop of fruit in both summer and early fall, and of course, its incredible taste!
