Hibiscus (Rose Mallow)
Rose Mallow is the common name for the perennial form of Hibiscus, although the size of these plants is more shrub-like. If you're looking for the tree-form Hibiscus, see our page on Rose of Sharon.
PLEASE NOTE: Hibiscus plants are extremely late to grow, which means you'll likely not see any emergence in your garden until early summer. Many people mistakenly believe the plant to be dead and dig up the root system to throw it away. Please don't discard your hibiscus plant until the 4th of July, which is generally the latest date that a healthy hibiscus will start showing signs of growth.
