- Best in shade and moist, well-drained soil

Compact Drooping Leucothoe (catesbaei ‘Compacta’)
- 3-4’ tall x 3-4’ wide
- Mid- to late-May bloom of white, catkin-like flowers
- Tightly packed foliage emerges bronze and matures to deep, lustrous green, then turns to purple-red in the winter months
- Branches are curvy and fountain forming
- Great for shaded and partially shaded areas; fairly deer resistant

- White, catkin-like flowers on top of cream-colored variegated foliage that turns bronze to scarlet in the fall to winter
