Pine Tree

Dwarf Mugo Pine (mugo var. mughus)

  • 3-4’ tall x 6-8’ wide
  • Texture and touchability make this durable, slow growing conifer extremely popular
  • Easy to grow, use singly or in groups in the landscape

Dwarf White Pine (strobus ‘Nana’)

  • 6-7’ tall x 10-12’ wide
  • Dense, blocky form brings the mammoth White Pine down from its huge scale to a size that everyone can admire
  • Dense spreading with tightly packed medium green needles whorled around branches; very touchable
  • Easy to grow, extremely hardy; needs room to grow and loves full sun

Eastern White Pine (strobus)

  • 60-80’ tall x 30-40’ wide
  • The signature white pine for the eastern woodland
  • Long, soft needles are held in bundles of five and cover the tree thickly and give it a fine texture
  • Loves moist, well-drained soil; keep away from high salt areas
  • Provides nesting and food for a long list of native birds

Slowmound Mugo Pine (mughus)
