We proudly carry the Scotts LawnPro 4-Step fertilizers.  These products can be used separately to address specific issues, or in conjunction with each other (recommended) to produce a healthy and beautiful lawn all year round. 

Step 1 – Crabgrass Preventer Plus Fertilizer

Apply in early spring from February to April to control foxtail, barnyardgrass, fall panicum, spurge, oxalis and goosegrass all season long.  As an alternative, if you’re spreading new seed, try Step 1 for Seeding, which also contains a crabgrass preventer.

Step 2 – Weed Control Plus Fertilizer

Apply in late spring from April to June to control dandelions, chickweed, henbit, plantain, white clover and most broadleaf weeds.

Step 3 – Insect Control With Fertilizer

Apply in the summer from June to August to control ants, armyworms, billbugs, chiggers, chinch bugs, cutworms, fleas, mole crickets, sod webworms, ticks and more.  This will kill active insects and provide effective control for about six weeks, while feeding your lawn for up to two months.

 

Step 4 – Lawn Fertilizer
Apply in the fall from August to November for fast green up and continuous feeding for up to two months.
